The roll above the waistband and the soft layer either side of the spine are the lower back, and BTL lists the back among the areas its large applicator treats. A session on the back
You lie face down with the large applicator across the lower back, over the erector spinae, the two columns of muscle beside the spine. Electromagnetic pulses contract them in strong, rapid bursts while radiofrequency heats the fat layer over them. In our experience the lower back looks firmer and the roll above the waistband smaller in the weeks after the course, as the muscle builds and the warmed layer clears. The back is sore for a day or two afterwards, as after a heavy session of deadlifts.
The figures
No published series has measured the back with EMsculpt NEO, so we quote no back figure. Whether it fits you
In our practice it suits a soft lower back in someone who trains, or a back to finish in the same course as the abdomen and flanks. A thick layer you can pinch across the lower back is also a fat-freezing question, which we treat, and Dr Marie Duggan, GMC 7488383, says at the free consultation which fits.
