The pad above the kneecap and the soft inner knee sit over the lowest part of the thigh muscle, and in our practice they are an area we treat with the small applicators. A session above the knees
A small applicator is strapped over the lower thigh just above each knee, over the vastus medialis, the teardrop-shaped part of the quadriceps on the inner side of the knee. Electromagnetic pulses contract it in strong, rapid bursts while radiofrequency heats the fat pad over it. In our experience the pad above the kneecap looks smaller and the inner knee firmer in the weeks after the course, as the muscle builds and the warmed layer clears. The lower thigh is sore for a day or two afterwards.
The figures
No published series has measured the knees, so we quote no knee figure. The inner thigh just above measured 27% less fat and 23% more muscle in a 2022 study, and that stands for the mechanism, not as a promise for the knee. The full guide sets out every series.
